The National Sustainable Schools Conference was held regionally in Leeds, Preston, London and Bristol in July 2009.

The conference was held to help schools plan their journey to becoming a sustainable school and included participatory workshops for teachers to identify tasks, resources and approaches. A share fair was also introduced, with many of the local and national organisations offering schools and teachers support, resources and demonstrations of their work.
