Description:

Philosophy for Children (P4C) is a powerful methodology for developing children's thinking skills and exploring challenging subject matter. It can also improve self-esteem, self-confidence and emotional literacy and create a more caring and cooperative classroom environment, empowering children to take control of their learning.

It is particularly relevant in Education for Global Citizenship, helping pupils to widen their area of concern, particularly with regard to social justice and environment, to deepen their understanding of difficult issues and concepts and to evaluate their own roles as citizens and custodians. This Level 1 course is suitable for all primary and secondary teachers, school governors, LEA advisors, senior management and headteachers.
