Starting Sustainability in your school - raise awareness with Green Day

Posted: 18 March 2009

Green Day is an activity packed day about climate change and the built environment. It is about making schools more sustainable places through school-wide activities and cross-curricular learning. 30,000 pupils participated in its launch last June (World Environment Day) and primary and secondary teachers are needed to help make this June’s event even bigger and better!

Teachers will attend a free half-day workshop and get resources and a menu of activities to help them plan an event to suit their school. Their school will even get £200 to cover the teacher's time.

If you are a teacher in Bristol, Nottingham, Newcastle, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester or Liverpool and you would like to participate in Green Day 2009 please register at www.cabe.org.uk/greenday before 27th March or contact Alex Reynolds for further information at: areynolds@cabe.org.uk
